ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
The Savvy Grad was established in 2021, when Ben and Dan combined their expertise with the mission to help early career dental professionals to understand and be confident with their contracts. Having graduated from James Cook University in 2018, Dan is aware of the stress dental grads face starting their career, and the knowledge gap many new graduates face when presented with their first contract. To address this, Dan partnered with Ben and The Savvy Grad was born.
Ben has more than 17 years’ experience in human resources and employment relations, with a career spanning a range of senior HR roles in government and private industry both in Australia and abroad. He is also a former consultant with Australia’s leading specialist employment relations firms, where he worked closely with dental practices and advised hundreds of businesses on contracts of employment and contracting arrangements. Ben is currently Asia Pacific regional HR lead for a Fortune 500 Company, and has also been a professional member of the Australian HR Institute since 2008.
