The Melbourne Dental Students' Society (MDSS) strives to provide students in both Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) programs with Australia's best student experience by organising a variety of extracurricular activities throughout the degree. We understand that students wish to socialise, network, and build on their dentistry knowledge, therefore members have access to events such as annual balls, seasonal Lunch and Learn sessions, and loupes conventions, which cater to a wide variety of interests. In addition, educational seminars serve to supplement university studies in order to broaden the scope of learning and understanding for students. We also hold social expos for World Oral Health Day and R U OK? Day, as well as specialist lectures from experts in the field. Not only do we hope to promote a balanced lifestyle for students, we also facilitate students to network with local dental and healthcare related companies, which will be beneficial in their future professional careers.
