BOHDS La Trobe University

The Bendigo Oral Health and Dentistry Society (BOHDS) organises an array of social and academic events for La Trobe University students studying the Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) and the Bachelor of Oral Health.

Throughout the year, BOHDS hosts their annual camp, paint and sip, amalgames, pub crawls, BOHDS ball, trivia nights, cocktail nights, bowling nights, pool party and BOHDS week, which is a week full of BOHDS organised activities, as well as so many other amazing events. Its goal is to create a welcoming community where oral health and dentistry students can become closer with their peers and with students from all year levels, as well as an environment where students feel relaxed and at home.

BOHDS also organises a range of academic events, such as BOHDS help (where 2nd year students go over 1st year content with the students), loupes festival, trade show, lunch and learns, and academic talks. 

BOHDS also takes part in the Dental Schools Victoria (DSV) cup. This is an annual sporting event where La Trobe oral health and dentistry students compete against Melbourne University in an array of sports including netball, volleyball, soccer, frisbee and basketball. It is a great way to socialise with the students from Melbourne University, as well as provides a way to have a break from study and have fun.

BOHDS is a fun, vibrant and welcoming community that encourages all students to be involved with events and expand their social and academic experiences. It is the largest club at the La Trobe University Bendigo campus, and creates the ultimate university experience by fostering so many amazing friendships and memories.
